Avenue Q - November 2022

Lead Producer

AVENUE Q is an upcoming musical presented by the Melodramatics Theatre Company.

AVENUE Q is a dark comedy that playfully tackles issues that may be hard to address in real society. This show discusses classism, racism, and gender disparity with the comedic spectacle of a puppet show. It’s a total riot!

As the lead producer on the project, I manage the rehearsal scheduling, budgeting, and social media marketing.

Now. Here. This. - April 2022

Director

NOW. HERE. THIS. is another show I worked on with the Melodramatics Theatre Company.

NOW. HERE. THIS. is a wholesome musical anthology that tackles the relatable challenges of human life. It’s funny, sentimental, and a good time.

In our production, we framed the experiences of our characters as thought the show was a series of conversations/songs taking place around a camp fire. This context gave the show an intimate feeling, perfect for the Black Box theatre this show as performed in.

Reach for the Sky - October 2021

Assistant Director

“Life is messy. Everyday we navigate infinite choices: Should I wear this? Should I go to that party? Should I start a conversation with her? But sometimes, in what seems a mundane accumulation, we discover we have been under social pressure in our choices. A crucial aspect of our identity has been left behind. Somehow — reaching outwards and inwards — we must encounter ourselves anew.”

REACH FOR THE SKY is an original musical I had the pleasure of being a part of from conception to actualization. REACH FOR THE SKY is an abstract art piece that details the story of a teenager as they come to terms with their non-binary identity. Attached above is a link to a review of the piece.

A short trailer produced by Cornell’s media department, featuring the director of the project.

[Title of Show] - May 2021

Director

[TITLE OF SHOW) was the perfect musical to produce during the height of the COVID pandemic. In this 4th-wall-breaking comedic musical, the actors were free to reference the absurdity that was the fact that they had to perform while standing 6ft apart.

As my directorial debut, it was a funky good time that helped me dive head first into learning about the responsibilities of a director.

December 2019 // May 2023

GAME NIGHT is an original play that encapsulates many of my favorite aspects of media. This is a science fiction horror that capitalizes on audience interaction by incorporating a live chat and multiple endings into the fabric of the experience. Designed like a reality tv show, audiences members will experience the actors/contestants in a variety of challenges, and vote for them to be killed off as they see fit. With 6 different endings and 20 different permutations of the shows progression, this was an innovative project that was not only an entertaining experience, but an insightful commentary on spectacle and human nature.

This show as an original concept produced during the senior year of my high school experience, and it will be revived again during my senior year of college.
